Some people care more about me than I care about them.
Some people I care more about, than they care about me.
But on average...
I am cared for just as much as I care about others.
Or I love just as much as I am loved.
Moreover, I am cared for and love in the same way I do others.
So, I could say all the warmth I give out comes right back at me,
one way or the other.

That way... I could say that how I treat others is how I am indirectly treating myself.
So, by loving others a lot when I am unhappy and hating myself...
I am actually trying to help myself by loving others,
knowing somehow I will get that love back?

Is love for others Always self-love as well?
Isn't there always a teeny selfish aspect about loving others?
Or are we making things too complicated like that?
And should just say we are all one entity,
in which love is love and nothing else?

Calculations.

We really are nothing more than a mathematical formula written on energy flow. Right in between the melting and nuclear fusing hot and the freezing towards complete standstill cold. That fine line. And by wonder, there is matter in it. So stable, but still little bit reactive. Non-emitting. So your flow starts getting more complex because of chaos. It slips, clings and writes programs. That's all. You think you can kill yourself? You're terminating an algoritm. That's what <you> is. Everything is.

Hey all :),
Recently a good friend of mine told me about the Gutenberg project.
For those of you who don't know... this is a project that produces free electronic books.
They have loads of really interesting books on their site, so check it out! All of it is free to download and read for you!

The link to the site is: www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Pa…

What for us is even more interesting is that they have a really extensive book on drawing!! This can be found here: www.gutenberg.org/etext/14264

Enjoy! :D

Ever since high school, I found the structural formulae of many molecules to hold a certain beauty (yes, I'm weird like that, I know ;-))
Since I moved into my own house not so long ago, I decided to "decorate" the restroom a bit by painting some formulae on the walls.
It's not completely finished yet (it is a sh*teload of work!), but wanted to show anyway. If anyone has got any suggestions on improvements, that would be really cool!

Love it, hate it, or think it's really stupid, I think I kinda like it. :-)

arty farty chemistry

Molecules painted so far are:
* ATP (adenosinetriphosphate)
* quinin
* caffein
* nicotin
* nylon
* polyfluoroalkoxy (Teflon)
* chlorophyl a & b
* sarin gas (GB)
* hydrogen cyanine (Zyklon B)
* 2,4,5-T (Agent Orange)

Art

2 min read
What is Art exactly? When do you consider something to be Art? Is it Beauty? Can ugly things still be Art? Can beautiful things not be Art? Is there only one kind of Art? Is there a border that the quality of a certain work needs to transcend to become Art? Can Art really be dependant on skills? Can a 5-year old's drawing be Art? Can a chimpansee's creation be Art? Can something become Art that wasn't Art before? Is Art fashionable? Can you become an Artist or are you born as one? Art school?! And if you are born as one, does that mean that everything you do is Art? Or do you decide to do or make Art at a certain time? Like, I haven't done anything productive today,... tonight I'll produce some Art.... Like confection clothing or cookie dough? Has Art become a consumption product? Can you "learn Art"? Can you learn what it is and how to create it? Can Art überhaupt be "made" or "produced"? Or is it like matter that always has been and always will be? Is it solely conceptual? Is Art unquestionable like God? Is it like Love? Undescribable yet quintessential? Is Art devine, necessary or ordinary? Is Art a woindow on Plato's world of Idea's? Is a piece of Art closer to perfection than anything else? Is it an empty elitary box? Is it time and culture-bound or timeless and uninhibited by nation's borders? Does Art always involve a creation process or can Art just "be"? Can anything be Art? Or is the experience of Art so hyperpersonal that there really is nothing substantial to say about it? Is it just what personally touches you? Like the smell of fresh warm bread? Do some people know better than others what Art is? Did Picasso know what Art is? Did Michelangelo know? Do you?
